Personalized Housewarming Gifts
My husband and I recently bought our first home. Our friends decided to throw a house warming party for us, a surprise! We were very touched.
I have to admit that the entire event has left me with mew impressions about some of my friends. We ended up with more than one gift card at a home improvement store. These were much appreciated and will be handy for the items we will undoubtedly need for our new home. We also got a smattering of cute knick knack type items.
The most unexpected gift we received was a set of personalized poker items. We often have poker parties with this same group of friends, now they will be held in our new home when it is our turn. This gift was something that we will all enjoy. It was the perfect addition. What was so surprising to me and to my husband was the person that gave it to us. The gift was obviously well thought out and had been purchased ahead of time. This person is generally not someone who plans much of anything ahead of time.
The personalized gift, just for our new home, has been something we have already begun to cherish. For some reason this personalized choice from a friend to us had changed the way I shop for others. I realized that I can find items that will mean more to those that I love. I also know that as someone who loves internet shopping, I can do a better job!
